The Nixie Skirt is one of the most personal pieces Annie has ever created. Rooted in the Prussian folklore of her grandfather's homeland, this skirt began as an act of love and remembrance.

In over 40 individual thread colours, the embroidery achieves the same breathtaking kaleidoscope effect found in authentic Prussian and Slavic folk tradition, where every flower, every vine, and every leaf is given its own distinct hue. The structured, mirrored placement of the floral motifs is drawn directly from the sacred "Life Tree" and "Star" patterns of Eastern European thread work, designs that were historically believed to carry protective powers for the person who wore them.

Nixie is a name steeped in Prussian and Germanic folklore,  a water spirit, mysterious and enchanting, bound to the natural world and the stories carried across generations. 

Designed with intention to pair perfectly with the Nixie Jacket, the skirt is cut to sit high on the waist and flare out to create a A-line silhouette, side pockets are integrated into the design.
